Adult Learners' Week in London is coordinated by Amanda Pavon-Lopez (pavonlopez@msn.com or 07812 159689).

Adult Learners' Week 2010 in the London region was a great success.  189 individuals, 32 groups, 16 projects and 4 families were nominated for awards – almost double the number from last year!  A big thank you to all organisations and individuals who nominated learners and helped get them the recognition that they deserve.

The London Regional Awards Ceremony took place at Waltham Forest College on Tuesday 18th May 2010.  The College gave generously to make the event a success, and special thanks are due to the Principal, Robin Jones, for donating the College for the day, to the marketing department for all their hard work and support, to The Worshipful, The Mayor of Waltham Forest, Anna Mbachu, for helping with the awards presentations, to College Performance Arts students, X7eaven, for providing the entertainment during the presentations, to students from the Hospitality and Catering Diploma for planning, making and serving the food and refreshments, and to college Student Ambassadors for their help in ushering and making sure that no one got lost!

Without the help and support of all these individuals from Waltham Forest College, we could not have run the Awards Ceremony – THANKS TO YOU ALL!

Thanks are also due to our regional sponsors who supported the awards by presenting certificates and prizes to learners for specific categories:
