Hold an event
Holding an event or taster session during Adult Learners' Week is an excellent way to engage people and spark their interest in learning activities. Massage, electronics, cookery, art and sign language are just a few examples of the events that 45,000 people took part in during Adult Learners' Week in 2009.
Events present an excellent opportunity to build partnerships with other organisations, such as local businesses or community centres, and to reach new audiences.
There are a range of promotional Adult Learners' Week resources available to help make holding events creative and easy. Adult Learners' Week receives significant media coverage and events linked to the campaign benefit from being associated with the national publicity.
More information on event themes, along with events planning advice is available from the Adult Learners' Week events guide.
