Bat Watch

Description

Explore Gibside, home to 8 of the UK's 18 native bat species, as the sun goes down and meet some of its nocturnal residents. The evening will begin with hot drinks and homemade cake in the café where our Head Ranger and local bat expert will talk about the bats, their habitat and what we're doing to protect them. Then head into the ground, armed with bat detectors, to enjoy a close encounter with Gibside's nocturnal wildlife.
