Beverley Georgian Festival
Description
A nine-day Festival with events every day, to celebrate the accession of George I and the completion of the Market Cross, both in 1714, a year that was the beginning of a golden time in our town. But the Georgian years are little known, although they affected many of the townscapes, attitudes, social structures, of today. We hope to make the Georgians better understood - they were very like us, more so than the better known Tudors or Victorians.
Special instructions
25 events are held al over Beverley, 13-21 September 2014. About half of them are free.
