Give it a go!
Description
Give it a Go is an event to celebrate learning in all its forms, through lots of informal activities. The event is aimed at anyone aged 16 or over. There is no upper age limit!
The event takes place at BG Futures, Lincoln LN1 3DY on Thursday 5th June from 11am to 6pm. It promises to be a fun, informative and action packed day! There are different “zones” of learning:
Volunteering zone
Meet volunteer involving organisations and find out more about how you can give your time. You can even try microvolunteering!
Learning zone
Learn a tiny bit of Italian, get tips on how to sell yourself in an interview, learn how to photo shop or even have an introduction to First Aid! Just a few examples of the learning menu on offer.
Health & Fitness zone
Why not come and try Pilates, Zumba, a bit of Tai Chi or get involved in human table football? There’s even the opportunity to blast your abs, learn about sports coaching or what the labels on your food actually mean.
Creative zone
Ever wanted to learn the secret of juggling? Now’s your chance! If that isn’t your thing, then maybe drumming, chocolate welding, crafts or mixing music is. All will be available to try.
Please come and join us at what promises to be the county's learning event of the year!
