Transforming Lives Awards

Celebrating teachers, trainers and tutors who help adults change their lives through learning

Nominations are now closed, thank you to all who nominated!

NIACE in partnership with NOCN and the Institute for Learning (IfL) are this year launching the Transforming Lives Awards for teachers, trainers and tutors in England. Each year, alongside the outstanding achievements of Adult Learners’ Week Award winners we hear stories of the exceptional efforts that teachers, trainers and tutors go to to support their learners and provide them with the tools they need to succeed. Great educators can be found in many places; colleges or schools, local communities or at work through work based training.

Last year, we launched the first ever Adult Learners’ Week tutor celebration event in partnership with IfL. This moving ceremony was an opportunity for Adult Learners’ Week award winners to show their gratitude for the enormous contribution that their tutors made to their lives.

This year we went a step further by encouraging learners and colleagues from across England to celebrate the efforts of an inspirational tutor they know by nominating them for a Transforming Lives Award. We received over 120 nominations, a huge response, which highlights the important role that teachers, trainer and tutors play in the lives of many adults, the nominations will now be shortlisted and the winners will be announced in June!

Nominations have now closed, thank you and good luck to all those who nominated!
