There’s no doubt about it: education can and does change lives. The WEA’s founders knew this more than a century ago when they first offered part-time courses to people who would otherwise not have access to them. So whilst this is WEA Eastern Region’s first time as Outreach Coordinator, we have been deeply involved with Adult Leaners’ Week for many years and have plenty of experience in celebrating learning to draw from. Our aim is to make this the best year yet.
We are but a small part of East Anglia’s vast and vibrant adult education landscape. It is our great pleasure to work with and support so many incredible organisations with the shared aim of promoting and celebrating lifelong learning. This is no time for being meek or modest! We have so much to shout about, and this is our opportunity to do just that.
