Hold an event

Events present an exceptional opportunity to build partnerships with other organisations, such as local businesses or community centres, and to reach new audiences. The high-profile PR and advocacy activity provides the perfect hook to drive new engagement, and spark renewed interest in learning activities.

There are a range of Adult Learners' Week resources available to help make holding events creative and easy, as well as a free Online Event Diary (used by our free helpline at 0800 100 900) to advertise your events. Adult Learners' Week receives significant media coverage and events linked to the initiative benefit from being associated with the national publicity.

Adult Learners' Week encourages a celebration of learning activity in all its diversity. An Events Planning Guide is available to inspire activity planning and co-ordination.
