About Adult Learners' Week

Adult Learners’ Week is a national celebration of lifelong learning, encompassing the Adult Learners’ Week awards, “have a go” taster events, parliamentary reception, and other activities such as a national policy conference. The Week is now in its 23rd year and we are really proud that it has inspired international Adult Learner’s Week celebrations across the world.

We hope you will join us in celebrating adult learning and be inspired to take part – here are just some of the activities we have planned.

Festival of Learning

May 2014 saw the start of our festival of learning – for adults, families, communities and employers. This culminated in Adult Learners’ Week during June. This year it encompassed activities such as Learning at Work Day, VQ Day and Museums at Night.

Over 3000 Have a Go activities were held by providers of all shapes and sizes- you can find out more about what events happened this year by visiting our Activity Highlights page.

Year-round activity

We celebrate and promote the benefits of adult learning throughout the year. Find us at Skills Show in the autumn and join us for our policy seminars being held in the autumn and spring terms.
